Brent Lonteen resigned as president and CEO of the Peoria Area CVB, the Peoria Star Journal reported.
Rick Edwards, chairman of the board for the bureau, said he will be acting CEO of the organization until a replacement is found. He did not give a timetable for that to happen.
Edwards said Lonteen’s resignation after nearly three years of service was amicable. Lonteen came to the CVB in October 2006 after spending several years as a news reporter and news director for WMBD-TV.
