What are three outstanding cultural experiences you would recommend for groups visiting Salt Lake City?

  • Salt Lake is privy to many cultural programs and public events. Theatre and film are big in Salt Lake, and The Sundance Film Festival arriving every January in Utah is at the top of the list. It began in 1978 in an effort to attract more filmmakers to Utah. It is the largest independent cinema festival in the world. With the help of Robert Redford the festival was born. For 10 days, the local area is abuzz with celebrities and visitors alike, and there are numerous screenings and social events.
  • This is the Place Heritage Park is one of the most popular places to hold activities and tours. Our visitors learn the history of how Salt Lake City came to be and it transports them back in time to the mid-1800s. Twenty acres of historic homes, businesses and interactive experiences immerse our guests in the ultimate pioneer adventure. There are several locations at the park to host very large events as well as small historic buildings for a more intimate gathering.
  • Visitors gather on Temple Square to hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir broadcast Music and the Spoken Word every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. The first broadcast of Music and the Spoken Word was on a hot summer afternoon in the Tabernacle on Temple Square on July 15, 1929. Today, Music and the Spoken Word has become the world’s longest-running continuous network broadcast and is carried on more than 2,000 radio and television stations. This is one of our top offerings to our convention attendees.
