The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club (239.261.2222; www.naplesbeachhotel.com) in Naples completed a multimillion-dollar refurbishment to its guest rooms and pool area. The 319-room resort offers 34,000 square feet of meeting space, 22,000 of that in its Clubhouse overlooking the golf course.

Waldorf Astoria Orlando (407.597.5500; www.waldorfastoriaorlando.com) opened Oct. 1. Sitting on 482 acres, the resort offers 497 guest rooms and suites, 28,000 square feet of event space and a golf course.
- The Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club (727.942.2000; www.innisbrookgolfresort.com) completed a renovation that includes its Island Golf Course and three golf clubhouses with over 65,000 square feet of meeting space. A new spa and fitness center opened earlier this year.
Georgia
- Located about 30 minutes north of Atlanta in Braselton, the 3,500-acre Chateau Elan (678.425.0900; www.chateauelan.com) opened the Dave Pelz Golf School in March. The school is open for groups interested in improving their putting and chipping. The property also finished a guest room renovation in January 2009 and plans to finish a spa redo in January 2010. Boasting 275 guest rooms in its main property, 14 suites in its spa and 10 two- and three-bedroom villas on its golf course, the property also offers 40,000 square feet of meeting space and a winery on-site.
Tennessee
- The Chattanoogan (423.756.3400; www.chattanooganhotel.com) plans to complete a guest room renovation in January 2010. Located in Chattanooga, the property offers 199 guest rooms, 25,000 square feet of meeting space and access to two nearby golf courses.
Texas

JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa (210.403.3434; www.jwsanantonio.com) plans to open in January 2010. The 600-acre property will feature 1,002 guest rooms, 140,000 square feet of meeting space and two golf courses: AT&T Canyons Course and AT&T Oaks Course.

Earlier this year, Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas (972.717.0700; www.fourseasons.com/dallas) completed a $60 million renovation. Enhancements were applied to the resort’s lobby and guest rooms. The property also opened a new sports bar, family pool, tennis court, restaurant, 34 new Club Villas and a redesigned golf course. Located a few miles north of The Galleria, the Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa (713.680.2626; www.houstonian.com) completed a $7.1 million guest room and corridor renovation in Oct. 2008 and a ballroom redo in August 2009. The property offers 289 guest rooms, 32,000 square feet of meeting space and access to two nearby golf courses.
