Pensacola

  • The Pensacola Bay area will welcome its first Hotel Indigo (850.224.6000; www.hotelindigo.com) this summer. The boutique property will feature a rooftop swimming pool, a 24-hour fitness center and 3,000 square feet of meeting space.

 Emerald Coast

  • The Holiday Inn of Destin (877.837.6181; www.hidestin.com) plans to finish a guest room renovation early this year. The 233-room property offers 2,200 square feet of meeting space.

 Panama City Beach

  • Set to open in May, the Northwest Florida-Panama City Beach International Airport (www.newpcairport.com) will offer a 10,000-foot runway (the longest in Northwest Florida), as well as daily flights from Delta and Southwest airlines, whose origin cities had not been announced at press time. The LEED-certified airport is being developed in tandem with the West Bay Preservation Area, which will protect 40,000 acres, including 33 miles of undeveloped shoreline.

Tallahassee

  • The newly renovated Hotel Duval (866.957.400; www.hotelduval.com), Tallahassee’s first boutique hotel, offers 7,500 square feet of function space—including a rooftop lounge.
  • Aloft Tallahassee Downtown (850.513.0313; www.starwoodhotels.com) recently debuted with 2,250 square feet of meeting space.
