  • Westward Look Resort in Tucson recently completed a $14 million renovation, including updates to the main lobby, all 241 guest rooms, meeting spaces, the fitness center, outdoor areas and restaurants. New guest rooms include 42-inch flat-panel televisions and high-speed wireless access. All pool areas have also been modernized, and the resort’s meeting spaces received technology upgrades.   • The Coast Coal Harbour Hotel, located near the waterfront between the Vancouver Convention Centre and Stanley Park, opened in January with 220 rooms.   • The Magnolia Hotel & Spa in Victoria recently debuted three new meeting spaces. At just over 400 square feet, the Magnolia Room can accommodate up to 50 people reception style and offers Wi-Fi Internet access. The Orchid Executive Boardroom can hold up to 10 people, while the Yarrow Room is suited for up to 24 people. The hotel features 64 guest rooms, each with 37-inch flat-screen televisions, and a new Spa Magnolia, double the size of the hotel’s previous spa. California

  • Holiday Inn Los Angeles City Center will be rebranded as the Luxe City Center Hotel, Los Angeles in the same upscale, boutique style as other Luxe properties like the Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel, Beverly Hills. The hotel’s multimillion-dollar renovation will be completed this spring. The hotel is located across the street from the entertainment campus L.A.   • The 410-room Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel opened recently after a rebranding and a renovation. The property, formerly the Wyndham Palm Springs, is attached to the Palm Springs Convention Center. Upgrades included a redesign of the lobby. The hotel now has 30,000 square feet of convention space, which when combined with the adjacent convention center offers 180,000 square feet of conference space under one roof.   • The 208-room Miyako Hybrid Hotel in Torrance opened in December. The property features an array of Japanese-inspired amenities in each guest room as well as on-site dining and special spa services. Eco-conscious aspects of the hotel design include 97 solar panels on the roof that supply up to 5 percent of the hotel’s energy. Each of the 208 guest rooms, including the 12 suites, features a balcony, flat-screen televisions and complimentary Wi-Fi.
