Starwood announced plans to redevelop the Sheraton Manhattan at Times Square and to drop the Sheraton name from the hotel.
As the 665-room hotel is being renovated, the hotel will be operated as a non-branded Starwood property beginning in April. The plan would likely incorporate retail and office space. The hotel is expected to fly another Starwood flag in the future. The hotel will remain open as the company finalizes redevelopment plans.
