The former Holiday Inn downtown has rebranded itself as the Mankato City Center Hotel.
The hotel’s managers chose a logo for the revamped property: a blue swirl that symbolizes Mankato's location on the Minnesota River.
The image overhaul began last summer when the hotel began a renovation of all 150 rooms. The effort will continue with an overhaul of the lobby. Part of the lobby’s new look includes new furnishings and historical photos of the area from the Blue Earth County Historical Society. The hotel plans to remodel its banquet facilities and its restaurant and bar.
