Fargo

  • Hilton Garden Inn Fargo (701.499.6000; www.hiltongardeninn.com) recently opened with 110 guest rooms and 14,000 square feet of meeting space with state-of-the-art technology.
  • La Quinta Inn & Suites (701.499.2000; www.lq.com) recently debuted with 90 guest rooms and three meeting spaces. Wireless Internet and 32-inch LCD flat-screen TVs are among the guest room amenities.
  • The Historic Fargo Theatre (701.2356.4152;www.fargotheatre.com) recently added a second theater adjacent to the Art Deco building, built in 1925. The new Off Broadway theater has 76 seats, and the historic theater has 870 seats. Both have contemporary technology for product rollouts and other presentations.  

Grand Forks 

  • The Alerus Center (701.792.1406; www.aleruscenter.com) in Grand Forks is undergoing a $4 million renovation of its conference center that will provide a new entrance and 3,700 additional square feet of space to the center’s lobby.

Minot

  • A MainStay Suites (877.424.6423; www.mainstaysuites.com) and a Candlewood Suites (877.226.3539; www.candlewoodsuites.com) will debut this year in Minot. The MainStay Suites will open in late summer with 75 guest rooms, each equipped with full kitchens, and the Candlewood Suites will open in October with 83 guest rooms and a 24-hour fitness center. Both properties will be located near the Dakota Square Mall.
  • Minot International Airport (701.857.4738; www.minotnd.org/airport) welcomed new air service by Delta Air Lines this month and by United Airlines in June. Delta added a daily flight to Salt Lake City and two flights to Minneapolis. United will inaugurate two daily flights to Denver.
