  • The Grand Del Mar, north of San Diego, recently introduced two programs designed to support sustainability: a new eco-minded outdoor team-building session for groups as well as an ongoing fundraising effort for the California Native Plant Society. The Native Plant Restoration Program focuses on the neighboring Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve. The program encompasses a guided hike and/or mountain bike adventure into the preserve, followed by an afternoon of planting native foliage. The resort donates 3 percent of a meeting’s proceeds to the California Native Plant Society to help San Diego public schools plant on-site gardens.
