Arizona

  • Talking Stick Resort, located in Scottsdale, debuted in April, with an official grand opening slated for June. The 497-room resort offers more than 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor conference space, including the 25,000-square-foot Salt River Grand Ballroom and over 11,000 square feet of prefunction space. Amenities include a 13,000-square-foot spa, a wine bar, gaming, eight restaurants and complimentary high-speed Internet access.   • The Mondrian Hotel in downtown Scottsdale has a new name, the Hotel Theodore. In March, a division of GF Management took over hotel operations from Morgans Hotel Group. The property was rechristened as the independent Hotel Theodore after President Theodore Roosevelt, and the hotel’s lounges are now called Teddy’s Lounge and T’s. British Columbia

  • The Willow Stream spa, located in Vancouver’s Fairmont Pacific Rim, recently opened its doors. The 15,000-square-foot spa is located on the hotel’s fifth floor and includes harbor and city views. The spa features French doors that open to private outdoor landscaped terraces. Two of the spa’s three relaxation lounges include fireplaces. California

  • The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles opened in April, marking the completion of the $2.5 billion L.A. LIVE sports, residential and entertainment district in Downtown Los Angeles. Perched on the upper floors of the 54-story tower that it shares with sister hotel the JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. LIVE and The Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. LIVE, The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles has 123 guest rooms, including 14 suites. The hotel also offers meeting and event planners the Gallery Collection, with nearly 100,000 square feet of ballroom and meeting space. The hotel is home to the 8,000-square-foot Ritz-Carlton Spa. Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck brings WP24, his latest restaurant concept, to the hotel, located on the 24th floor. The restaurant offers a wine cave and two private dining rooms. The 23rd floor of the hotel features the 3,400-square-foot Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge with views of Downtown L.A. Colorado

  • The Broadmoor, in Colorado Springs, is undergoing upgrades, with three projects totaling $7.5 million—all taking place in the Broadmoor West and the West Tower. All 148 rooms and suites of the West Tower are being renovated, including the luxury Gaylord Suite, which features an expansive outdoor deck. Broadmoor West will also sport a new look, including upgrades to all lobby areas as well as the popular West Lobby Bar. In addition, the Lobby Bar’s outdoor seating is being expanded. The Broadmoor West’s meeting space was recently upgraded as well, including the addition of four new meeting rooms and a new prefunction area. Nevada

  • Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno is putting the finishing touches on its $100 million expansion. Part of the expansion includes an additional 50,000 square feet of meeting space, a spa, an executive boardroom, several restaurants, a new race and sports book, a new poker room and a sky bridge that connects to the 500,000-square-foot Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
