- Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites by Hilton in May opened a dual-branded development in Rockville-Gaithersburg as a two-building, six-story property. New York
- The Warwick New York Hotel recently completed Phase II of its new Premier Rooms and Suites, bringing the total to 114 rooms and suites. Following the debut of the initial phase of Premier Rooms and Suites completed in September 2009, the hotel has now invested $4 million into this project with plans to continue upgrades and renovations for all of the hotel’s 426 rooms and suites. Amenities include wired and wireless Internet access, high-definition televisions in suites, interactive multimedia systems to allow connection for laptops, iPods and iPhones to the television, and upon request a Wii console can be delivered to suites. - The Crowne Plaza Cleveland South-Independence, formerly the Skyline Hotel and Conference Center of Independence, opened in May following a $4 million renovation that includes a new fitness center, new boardroom and upgrades throughout the hotel. The hotel features 178 guest rooms, each with LCD flat-screen televisions. Guests have access to a variety of amenities, including complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the property, a renovated indoor pool area and a business center. - Le Meridien Philadelphia recently debuted. The hotel is housed in the former YMCA building designed by prominent American architect Horace Trumbauer, who also designed Philadelphia’s Union League and Museum of Art. The property includes 202 guest rooms, a signature restaurant, a lobby bar and 5,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. - The 191-room Doubletree Hotel Pittsburgh/Monroeville Convention Center recently opened 12 miles from downtown Pittsburgh.
