Spirit Air, Pilots Reach Tentative Agreement

Spirit Airlines and its pilots have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract, and the carrier plans to resume service Friday, June 18.

The contract, which was unanimously recommended by the pilots’ union, the Airline Pilots Association, International, is still subject to ratification by the union’s membership, which is planned for a vote in July.

The carrier recommends that passengers reconfirm their flights at www.spiritair.com.

Spirit said it is offering customers a coupon for $50 off their next flight at 5,000 FREE SPIRIT bonus miles. The carrier is also offering customers a coupon to save $50 off their next roundtrip purchase for travel from June 18, 2010 through Nov. 17, 2010.
