What are three unique off-site venues you would recommend for groups meeting in Reno?
- National Bowling Stadium: When it comes to company parties, there’s nothing like friendly competition to break the ice and there’s no better activity than bowling. Dubbed the "Taj Mahal of Tenpins," the National Bowling Stadium (NBS) is a facility where groups of 50 to 2,000 can gather when it’s time to have fun. Guests can discuss the art of the deal over beer and popcorn or enjoy a sit-down dinner and full-service bars for a more formal gathering. The stadium includes 78 championship lanes, disco lighting and special effects, sound systems for music and announcements, a 30-mile-per-hour ball return, one of the world’s longest video screens and stadium seating for over 600.
- National Automobile Museum: With more than 220 vintage and collectible automobiles on display, the National Automobile Museum will make guests feel as if they’ve cruised into another time. Ranked among the nation’s premier automobile museums, this downtown facility is ideal for meetings, receptions, dinners, luncheons and theme events. It accommodates groups from 50 to 1,200. Plus, there is a 157-seat theater with the latest projection and sound technology and a 19-foot-by-11-foot high-definition screen.
- Thunderbird Lodge: Thunderbird Lodge is a historic Lake Tahoe estate that is punctuated by sandy coves and a 50-foot waterfall. Built in the late 1930s, this multi-structure lakeside estate offers approximately 5,400 square feet of meeting space in six distinctive rooms, including a 400-square-foot outdoor patio with unobstructed views of Lake Tahoe. The main lodge features granite floors and two fireplaces, and its Lakeside Ballroom boasts floor-to-ceiling windows with incomparable lake views. The lodge can house groups of about 300 guests.
