Greater Wilmington
Delaware Delights
By RUTH A. HILL

America may be missing monarchs in its heritage, but there are a few places where the wealthy have left us some royal sites and high-brow culture. One such culture corridor is |

The region’s proximity to New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., gives it easy East Coast accessibility to a major population mass near and far. Yet it also delivers a serene, leafy and sometimes unexpected out-in-nature alternative to the city scene. And for added group appeal, Delaware’s tax-free status frequently gives groups welcome budget-friendly surprises.

Pick Three – Greater Wilmington
Cher L. Przelomski
CEO; Planning Factory International, Wilmington, Del.
What are three unique ways for business groups to enjoy Wilmington and the Brandywine Valley?
Riverboat Queen: Riverboat Queen is a double-deck paddle wheel boat that launches from the Wilmington Riverfront and sails along the Christina River. Groups may do dinner cruises for up to 120 as well as public cruises. Cruisers enjoy the passing view of the city’s riverfront and watching the drawbridge operate. The company offers full-service event planning, including food, alcohol and DJ services. All-you-can-eat crab cruises are popular for casual summertime fun—a great way to get people out after a day in meeting rooms.
