The 610-room JW Marriott Chicago is scheduled to open this September, while the JW Marriott Indianapolis is expected to debut in February 2011.
The Windy City hotel is located in one of Chicago’s historic landmarks, the Daniel Burnham-designed Continental & Commercial National Bank building at on West Adams Street in the heart of the financial district. The hotel is currently undergoing a $396 million restoration to blends Burnham’s famous architectural style with modern surroundings.
The hotel will also feature 44,000 square feet of event space, including the 8,300-square-foot Grand Ballroom and 5,900-square-foot Burnham Ballroom. The property will also include a 20,000-square-foot spa and fitness center.
Meanwhile, the 1,005-room JW Marriott Indianapolis will anchor the Marriott Place complex and offer 104,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel will be connected to the newly expanded Indiana Convention Center and will open directly onto White River State Park, a 220-acre cultural district featuring the Indianapolis Zoo, Indiana State Museum, Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, and “The Lawn,” an award-winning outdoor concert space.
