British Columbia
- Fairmont Pacific Rim opened in March on the Vancouver waterfront. The 377-room hotel offers a rooftop pool with private cabanas and 15,000 square feet of meeting space.
- Black Rock Oceanfront Resort (250.726.4800) opened last year in Ucluelet. The hotel sits on a rocky headland on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. The lobby boasts an expansive oceanfront view, and the wine cellar has a view over an 80-foot-wide surge channel.
- Watermark Beach Resort (250.495.5500) recently opened in Osoyoos. The resort is located on Osoyoos Lake and offers two meeting rooms and an outdoor lawn.
California
- The 157-room Shorebreak Hotel (714.861.4470) opened recently in Huntington Beach. The hotel offers a spa and 8,000 square feet of meeting space that includes an interior courtyard with outdoor fire pits.
- Hilton San Diego Bayfront (619.564.3333) recently opened. It offers 165,000 square feet of meeting and event space and a 4.3-acre waterfront park.
- Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa & Marina (619.224.1234) in San Diego completed a $1 million renovation of its 20,000 square feet of meeting space.
- Island Hotel Newport Beach (949.759.0808) recently completed a makeover, which included its 6,000-square-foot ballroom and 10 meeting rooms.
- Hyatt Regency Newport Beach (949.729.1234) added a new area called the Ballroom Arbor, a landscaped area with a fountain and palm trees that can be used for outdoor receptions and banquets. The hotel features 26,000 square feet of space.
Mexico
- Fairmont Acapulco Princess (52.744.469.1000) unveiled a new 20,000-square-foot exhibit hall, tripling the number of people the resort can accommodate to 6,000. The hall was designed by local architect Jorge Madrigal. The space is part of a $30 million renovation.
- Capella Pedregal, a (52. 624.163.4300) a hotel and residence resort, is expected to open along the Cabo San Lucas Marina. The beach resort is reached via the only privately owned tunnel in Mexico, Dos Mares.
- Montage Los Cabos (866.551.8244) is expected to debut on the site of the former Twin Dolphin Hotel on Santa Maria Bay. The resort will include a spa with an array of sea-inspired holistic treatments.
