The 14-story, 240-room Residence Inn San Diego Downtown/Gaslamp Quarter(619.487.1200) opened in November 2009 with 1,300 square feet of meeting space, a rooftop pool, a fitness center, complimentary high-speed Internet and Bar Vie, a full-service bar with a dinner menu.
The San Diego Marriott Hotel & Marina (619.234.1500), which features 75,000 square feet of meeting space, is undergoing a $51 million renovation, which began in November 2009. The hotel's 1,362 guest rooms and suites will be completely transformed to incorporate an urban beach-style decor.
