Sol Melia plans to take over operations of the 502-room Renaissance Atlanta Hotel, which will be the first property for the Spain-based hotel company in the U.S., in mid-October.
Renamed the Melia Atlanta, the downtown hotel will receive a $35 million renovation scheduled for completion in 2013.
