The Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa, in Santa Ana Pueblo, N.M., near Albuquerque, recently launched its Meet and Be Green program, which encourages guests and planners to make green choices for their meetings. As part of the program, planners and meeting attendees pledge to take 10 steps during their meeting, including eliminating disposable water bottles, selecting locally grown seasonal foods, using products with 100 percent recycled content, recycling during the meeting and minimizing shipping. For new meetings booked by Dec. 30 and held by March 31, 2011, groups participating in the program will be eligible for a 3 percent rebate on qualifying charges on the master bill. Taheima Wellness Resort & Spa recently opened in Riviera Nayarit on Mexico's Pacific Coast. The all-inclusive boutique resort provides 135 suites, including a two-story penthouse suite. All suites offer Wi-Fi access, and personal butler service is available on each floor. Amenities include infinity pools and whirlpools, 24-hour access to a workout facility and a dance studio. A 22,000-square-foot rooftop spa will be completed by early 2011. The resort also offers 10 meeting rooms, breakout rooms, and boardrooms and a ballroom for up to 600.
