Greater Tucson
The Pascua Yaqui Tribe recently broke ground on a $98 million property next to Casino Del Sol (520.838.6737). The Sol Casinos Hotel and Convention Center, set for completion in fall 2011, will offer 215 guest rooms, a conference center with a 14,000-square-foot ballroom and a full-service spa.

As part of Tropicana Las Vegas' $165 million Phase 1 transformation, the hotel recently announced the completion of its new deluxe rooms and suites in its 500-room Paradise Tower and 806-room Island Tower. The hotel's conference facilities are also new, featuring more than 100,000 square feet of flexible meeting and function space, including the Grand Ballroom with over 25,000 square feet of space divisible by 11 breakout rooms. This fall, the hotel will open a remodeled race and sports book area as well as a renovated spa and fitness center. In late December, the Tropicana will open the Las Vegas Mob Experience, featuring the largest collection of artifacts, memorabilia, photos and videos of organized crime ever assembled. In addition, there will be new bars and restaurants, and the Nikki Beach ultra-lounge will debut in spring 2011. For more information, call 702.739.2222.
