- The Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa, in Litchfield Park, recently broke ground on a multimillion-dollar rejuvenation project and will return to its original name, The Wigwam, under new ownership when the project is complete in December. Originally opened in 1929, The Wigwam spans some 450 acres and offers 331 guest rooms, including 72 suites. The redesign will add several new outdoor gardens, a community courtyard and various al fresco entertainment and dining areas complete with fire pits and fountains. - The Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort in Carlsbad recently completed its upgrade of 61 hotel rooms and public spaces. Colorado
- The Four Seasons Resort Vail is slated to open in December with 121 suites and guest rooms. Idaho
- The ongoing expansion at the Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort is reportedly under budget and ahead of schedule. Officials expect the $85 million project to be completed in spring 2011. The project, which broke ground in June 2009, will add two new four-story buildings and nearly 100 hotel rooms. The property will now offer 300 rooms, including two new wings overlooking the resort's championship golf course. In addition, the expansion will include a centerpiece pub area, steakhouse, fitness center, 15,000-square-foot spa and pool as well as a 10-acre front for outdoor events.
