  • Four Points By Tucson Airport opened in October with 150 guest rooms. The property offers 3,500 square feet of flexible meeting space with a 55-inch wireless-remote flat-screen monitor.   • Scottsdale’s The Phoenician expanded its meetings and events space in October with the opening of the new Camelback Ballroom. The $40 million facility encompasses 45,000 square feet, including prefunction space and a 15,000-square-foot ballroom. The Phoenician can now host multiple events simultaneously, while offering approximately 120,000 square feet of overall interior/exterior meeting and event space. California

  • The San Francisco CVB, the city and county of San Francisco and the San Francisco Tourism Improvement District (SFTID) recently began work on a two-year, $55 million upgrade and renovation of the Moscone Center, with an expected completion date of July 2012. Moscone West, which opened in 2003, is not part of the renovation project. The upgrade and renovation work ranges from basic aesthetic improvements to significant infrastructure projects, including pursuing LEED Silver certification.
