Georgia

  • The Hyatt Regency Atlanta recently began a $60 million transformation. The landmark downtown hotel is significantly upgrading its Atrium Tower guest rooms, 22-story atrium lobby, restaurant, lounge and front entrance. The property boasts a total of 180,000 square feet of function space and 1,260 guest rooms. The hotel will remain open throughout the duration of the project. Jamaica

North Carolina

  • The 264-room Renaissance Charlotte SouthPark Hotel celebrated its grand reopening in October after a three-year, multimillion-dollar renovation. Among the upgrades were the guest rooms, four-story atrium and the hotel's fitness center, which became the prototype of the new green package design for all Renaissance hotels, including floors made from recycled rubber. The hotel offers approximately 9,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor meeting and banquet space, much of which was redesigned, as well as an indoor pool, health club and sauna.   • The W Austin is slated to debut in December with 251 guest rooms, a 6,500-square-foot spa and more than 10,500 square feet of event space, including a terrace overlooking downtown.   • Concord Eastridge recently completed development of The Mason Inn Conference Center and Hotel, a 179,000-square-foot property on the Fairfax Campus of George Mason University.
