- The Hyatt Regency Atlanta recently began a $60 million transformation. The landmark downtown hotel is significantly upgrading its Atrium Tower guest rooms, 22-story atrium lobby, restaurant, lounge and front entrance. - The 264-room Renaissance Charlotte SouthPark Hotel celebrated its grand reopening in October after a three-year, multimillion-dollar renovation. Among the upgrades were the guest rooms, four-story atrium and the hotel's fitness center, which became the prototype of the new green package design for all Renaissance hotels, including floors made from recycled rubber.
