Tulsa
- Crowne Plaza Hotel Tulsa changed hands in late 2010 and will be renovated and reflagged as a Hyatt Regency. Improvements will include new flat-screen HDTVs, updated bedding, iPod docking stations and laptop-size safes in each of its 453 guest rooms, plus an overhaul to the fitness center. The property has 38,000 square feet of meeting space.
Oklahoma City
- A new 143-room Aloft will break ground in Deep Deuce in 2011. The $18 million hotel will include 12,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor.
- The Holiday Inn Oklahoma City North Quail Springs (405.286.9393) is set to open in early 2011. The property offers 1,885 square feet of meeting space.
- Four Points by Sheraton Oklahoma City Quail Springs (405.418.8448) was completed in 2010. The property has 119 guest rooms and 3,000 square feet of meeting space.
- The Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Oklahoma City Northwest recently opened with 92 guest rooms and 540 square feet of meeting space.
- Staybridge Suites Oklahoma City Quail Spring (405.286.3800) recently opened with 106 guest rooms.
- The historic Skirvin Hilton Oklahoma City (415.272.3040) is celebrating its 100th birthday this year. The property originally opened in 1911 as the Skirvin Hotel, and it was a treasured hotel in Oklahoma City for decades. After closing for roughly 18 years, it was completely renovated and restored, reopening as the Skirvin Hilton Oklahoma City in 2007. The elegant, 225-room property has 18,500 square feet of meeting space.
Norman
- Fairfield Inn & Suites Norman (405.447.1661) completed extensive renovations in July 2009. All 74 guest rooms received new carpet, paint, furniture and appliances, as well as a full bathroom remodel. Additionally, nine rooms were converted into suites, a fitness room was added, and the lobby was extended.
- National Center for Employee Development (405.366.4420) recently completed renovations on its 6,480-square-foot conference center. Improvements included new wall treatments and carpet, an upgraded lounge and renovations to the 996 guest rooms. The main training building boasts 45 classrooms and 25 labs. The facility has received several certifications for ecological efforts, including OKSTAR Platinum certification by the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality and ECO Platinum certification by the Oklahoma Department of Tourism.
Shawnee
- Pottawatomie County Historical Society (405.275.8412) broke ground in 2010 on a new 15,000-square-foot museum. Currently the society's collections are housed in historical Santa Fe Depot, a Romanesque structure built in 1904. Group rates and tours are available.
