Museums

  • The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH) is presenting the exhibition French Impressionist and Post-Impressionist Masterpieces from the National Gallery of Art. This exhibition brings to Houston 50 paintings from the Washington, D.C.-based museum's premier holdings while the galleries that house its 19th century French collection are closed for repair, renovation and restoration. The presentation showcases works by Impressionist masters Cezanne, Degas, van Gogh, Manet, Monet and Renoir, among others.   • John Solis, former San Antonio CVB assistant executive director, recently joined the Greater Houston CVB as vice president of sales. Solis previously worked with the GHCVB as a sales consultant and as an interim vice president of sales.
