Calif. Hotel Foreclosures Soaring
Hotel foreclosures in California more than doubled last year to 138 properties and continue to rise, according to a quarterly survey report by Atlas Hospitality Group in Irvine, Calif., which also found that more than 465 hotels are now either in default or have been foreclosed on.

The 136-room Courtyard Edmonton West debuted its redesign in January, including a renovated lobby with communal tables and private media booths. Guests can connect to free Wi-Fi or use complimentary computer terminals in the business library. The Omni Hotel Los Angeles announced plans to start a renovation of its 453 guest rooms and meeting space. The work will be completed in phases and the hotel will remain open throughout.
