Marriott Renaissance Arlington Capital View (888.236.2427) and Marriott Residence Inn Arlington Capital View will open this month as Arlington's newest hotels in the Crystal City district. With a location on the same property, they share a total of 24,000 square feet of meeting space and a combined 625 guest rooms.
Capital Conference Center (703.351.8806) in Arlington was recently renovated and is under new management. The facility offers 17 meeting rooms accommodating up to 140 attendees.
Baseball Boat (877.511.2628) now offers boat transportation from Alexandria to Nationals Baseball Stadium in Washington, D.C.
Hilton McLean Tysons Corner(703.847.5000) is undergoing a $45 million, property-wide renovation that's scheduled for completion this summer. The project includes a new restaurant and a new 2,800-square-foot junior ballroom.
The National Air and Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center (202.633.100) will open a new wing later this year that will be dedicated to restoration work on the museum's collection of aviation artifacts. Visitors will see works in progress. The center has several private event venue options.
The Executive Conference & Training Center Dulles (703.708.0808), an IACC-approved facility located two miles from the airport, has just expanded to include 10,000 square feet of meeting space. Included are eight meeting rooms, private, rentable offices and an attendee dining area.
Washington Dulles Airport Marriott(703.471.9500) is completing a new design and upgrade on its restaurant and lobby lounge areas, and a new 1,400-square-foot meeting room will be available in the public area. The hotel, located on airport property, offers 13,000 square feet of function space.
Hylton Performing Arts Center (703.993.7700) recently opened in Prince William County with a 1,121-seat main hall. Symphony, jazz, ballet, theater and comedy are among the highlights. Several venues offer private event spaces, including the two-story grand foyer for up to 500 guests.
