Museums
- The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is presenting The Warrior Emperor and China's Terracotta Army, featuring a unique selection of some 300 artifacts, including the famous life-size terracotta soldiers of the first Qin Emperor's army. The exhibit, which runs through June 26, takes visitors back through 1,000 years of Chinese art and history, including bronze vessels, ceramic figurines, jade ornaments, gold swords, architectural fittings and military accoutrements. Kudos
- The New York Palace recently introduced a 2011 roster of environmental advances, such as the broadening of its green meetings program. It is also the first hotel in New York to partner with Clean the World, donating up to 500 pounds of used soap and guest room amenities per month to the global relief organization. The contributed items are shipped to the Clean the World Recycling Operations Center in Orlando, where they are sanitized and then provided to homeless shelters and impoverished individuals in 30 countries around the world.
