As the managing and destinations content director of Stamats Meetings Focus Group, Lori manages the work flow of the editorial department and oversees all destination-related content from staff and freelance writers for Meetings Focus Group's four regional print publications and its website, MeetingsFocus.com. Lori also is the lead editor for the company's special destination supplements throughout the year.
Lori has worked in publishing for more than 15 years. Prior to joining Meetings Focus Group in 2002, Lori worked as a freelance writer and editor specializing in travel related content for trade and consumer publications and websites in the U.S. and the U.K., and she spent eight years as an editor at Travel Weekly and TravelAge magazines, where she covered all regions of the U.S., as well as Asia, Australia, the Caribbean, Europe, Latin America, New Zealand and the South Pacific. In her travels, she has reported on a wide range of general-interest tourism topics, as well as special-interest travel, such as adventure and ecotourism, food and wine, and luxury vacations. Lori has also written social-issue stories and personality profiles for publications such as The City, a San Francisco-based magazine.
Lori graduated with a B.A. in Journalism from San Francisco State University, where she served as the executive editor and in other editorial positions for Prism, the university's award-winning student magazine.
A native of Chicago, Lori has lived in San Francisco since 1984.
