One of the state’s original attractions—Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven, whose botanical gardens, Southern belles and water ski shows entertained generations of tourists—is becoming Legoland in October 2011. The 150-acre interactive theme park will feature more than 50 rides, shows and attractions in 10 "lands," including Miniland USA and Lego City. Good news for fans of the old Cypress Gardens: The famed botanical gardens will remain.
