  • Renovations wrapped up in February at the Statehouse Convention Center (501.376.4781) in Little Rock. Renovations included upgrades in carpeting, paint, lighting and wall treatments in meeting and public areas. The Statehouse Convention Center offers more than 200,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
  • Little Rock's War Memorial Stadium (501.537.5229) opened a new three-story press box and club facility last year with two floors of suites and kitchen and dining facilities, plus club seating for 580 people. The new facility, which is available for events, also allowed the addition of 260 outdoor seats, bringing the stadium's total to more than 54,000.
  • The Museum of Discovery (501.396.7050) in Little Rock is currently undergoing a $9.2 million renovation that will add a street-level entrance on President Clinton Avenue plus three new exhibit galleries. The museum is slated to reopen January 2012 after the additions are completed.
  • The Little Rock Airport (501.372.3439) recently began the first phase of a 10-year 2020 Vision Plan project. The initial phase is a terminal redevelopment project including a new in-line baggage system, upgraded ticketing lobby and energy upgrades.
  • The Hilton Garden Inn North Little Rock (501.945.7444) opened last year with 119 guest rooms and several event spaces, including a 3,256-square-foot ballroom.
  • The Best Western PLUS JFK Inn and Suites of North Little Rock (501.246.3300) opened last year with 64 guest rooms, a business center and a boardroom.
  • In North Little Rock's downtown Argenta district, the Argenta Community Theater (501.353.1443) opened in February as a multipurpose space for the advancement of the arts. The facility is available for rental and can accommodate up to 300 people.
  • The 92-room TownePlace Suites by Marriott Little Rock West (501.225.6700) opened last year with a business center, a fitness center and outdoor pool.
