The sea was angry that day, my friends! Sorry, wrong project. I’ve always been a writer (though medical examiner was seriously considered), and after stints in advertising and a bridal magazine (and lots of free cosmetics), I ended up at a travel trade magazine, which led to meeting the lovely and talented Karen Smith and later joining Meetings Focus. I’ve been a happy contributor for the past eight years, and enjoy the challenge of keeping up with the meetings industry as well as my home state of Florida!

What’s your favorite local/regional place to take a visitor to your area? Thinking of my hometown, Miami, I’d say Shuckers, a restaurant/bar on Biscayne Bay that has an open deck with seats right by the water (if you’re lucky), and where they don’t mind you lingering after the meal.
