I’m proud to write that meetings industry education stalwart Joan Eisenstodt, chief strategist of Eisenstodt Associates and moderator of our very own Meetings Focus Forum (www.MeetingsFocusForum), was recently awarded the highest honor given out by the International Association of Conference Centers: the Mel Hosansky Award for Distinguished Service.
Almost as nice as knowing this accolade was showered on someone who has demonstrated such dedication to both the meetings industry and the conference center concept was the fact that I was actually sitting at the banquet table with her when she won. Talk about exciting!
