The Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki and Golf Club is beginning a $5 million renovation to substantially upgrade its 521 guest rooms. Among the improvements will be new flat-screen TVs, artwork featuring the creations of talented locals, contemporary lighting elements and new carpeting. The resort will also redesign its towering 25-foot-high waterfall facing Ala Moana Boulevard along its front entrance, and additionally update its two restaurants with new carpeting and upholstery.
The hotel has ample meeting space that includes a 6,960-square-foot ballroom and 1,100-square-foot open-air terrace. The project is slated to wrap up by November, when the hotel will be fully occupied for the annual APEC Leaders Meeting.
