The Roaming Hunger iPhone app lets users navigate street food vendors of North America with ease, focusing on gourmet food trucks and carts. The company profiles well-known hot spots, such as L.A.'s popular Kogi BBQ food truck, Wafels and Dinges in New York, as well as up-and-comers like the Southern Mac Truck in Chicago. Over 800 vendors across North America are featured in the app. Foodies can sort meals by breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night snacks and can browse local areas with an interactive Google-based map. Meetings Making a Comeback in Dakotas
In Sioux Falls, SD, Convention and Visitor's Bureau Executive Director Teri Ellis Schmidt says there was not a huge dip during the economic downturn, but Sioux Falls saw enough to take notice. "We know that our hotels, along with the CVB, have been working hard to re-energize our corporate market share," she says. "It is going to take time, additional hard work, creative planning by both the planners and city and facilities, and the continuation of a healing economy."
