The Austin [Texas] City Council voted for construction to move forward on a 1,003-room Marriott Marquis hotel with 103,000 square feet of meeting space located three blocks from the Austin Convention Center.
Construction, which is expected to take 32 months to complete, is scheduled to start in early 2012.
