IAEE Urges Restoration of Hawaii Tax Exemption
Recent legislation passed by the Hawaii legislature that ends an exemption from the state's General Excise Tax for certain events and exhibitions occurring in the state prompted a letter from IAEE President Stephen Hacker urging Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie to restore the exemption.

  • The Holiday Inn Boise Airport changed its name to the Boise Hotel & Conference Center (208.343.4900; www.theboisehotel.com) earlier this year. Last year, the property completed upgrades to its guest rooms, conference center, restaurant and sports bar.

Coeur D'Alene

  • Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel (800.523.2464; www.cdacasino.com) completed an $85 million upgrade in May, including two new hotel wings with 98 guest rooms and a spa.
