The leader of one of the major unions working at McCormick Place, the Machinery Movers, Riggers & Machinery Erectors, announced that the union has agreed to abide by the work-rule reforms that were mandated last year by the Illinois state legislature and then recently struck down by a U.S. District Court judge.
Carpenters and Teamsters unions remain opposed to the labor reforms. McCormick Place officials are appealing the judge’s decision.
