Albuquerque
- Hotel Parq Central (505.242.0040; www.hotelparqcentral.com) opened last October with 74 guest rooms and 5,300 square feet of meeting space, including the rooftop Apothecary Lounge.
- The 276-room Sheraton Albuquerque Airport Hotel (505.843.7000; www.starwoodhotels.com), formerly Albuquerque Grand Airport Hotel, completed a $14 million renovation in December for its reflagging as a Sheraton.
- Albuquerque Hyatt Regency (505.842.1234; www.albuquerque.hyatt.com) plans to finish a $2 million renovation to its guest room corridors, lobby and restaurant this fall.
Santa Fe
- The New Mexico History Museum (505.476.5200; www.nmhistorymuseum.org) opened in 2009, complete with a spacious lobby suitable for gatherings and a 200-seat theater for presentations.
Farmington
- Best Western Inn and Suites (505.327.5221; www.pibestwestern.com) recently completed the first phase of a renovation that will include the remodeling of all 192 guest rooms and updates to the restaurant and sports lounge. The project is slated for completion at the end of 2012.
- Courtyard by Marriott Farmington (505.325.5111; www.courtyard.com/fmncy) recently renovated its front desk, lobby and restaurant.
Las Cruces
- The LEED-certified Las Cruces Convention Center (575.526.0100; www.meetinlascruces.com) celebrated its grand opening in January. The center measures 55,000 square feet with just over 30,000 square feet of meeting space. The facility features a 14,500-square-foot exhibit hall, an 8,950-square-foot ballroom, six breakout rooms totaling nearly 3,000 square feet, 8,500 square feet of indoor prefunction space, and more than 5,000 square feet of outdoor space.
Taos
- The Harwood Museum of Art (575.758.9826; www.harwoodmuseum.org) expanded by 10,700 square feet at the end of 2010. The expansion added gallery, theater, archival and curatorial space to the museum, including the Arthur Bell Auditorium, which is available for conference presentations for up to 110 people.
