Pick Three - Central Florida

John Roth

What are three of your favorite venues for off-site group events in Orlando?

  • Cuba Libre Restaurant and Rum Bar, Pointe Orlando: I like Cuba Libre because I can do a buyout of the facility and immerse my group in the tropical setting of an Old Havana courtyard. I’ll have an upbeat band fill the dance floor downstairs while I can create intimate furniture groupings upstairs for those who want to network.

  • Hard Rock Live, Orlando: Hard Rock Live gives me a full production stage with sound and lighting and a blank canvas that I can use for an elegant awards dinner or other event. For example, recently we co-sponsored the MPI WEC closing night dessert party and turned the venue into a celebration of 40 years of rock ’n’ roll complete with shadow dancers, lamp girls suspended from the ceiling and ’70s go-go dancers.

  • The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Universal Orlando: My favorite venue for very large groups is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal. The attention to detail in this venue is second to none. Whether you were a follower of the books and movies or not, our guests can’t help but be impressed with the re-creation of Hogwarts Castle, the shops of Hogsmeade and the magic of Harry Potter’s world. Our job is to create memories for our guests. A private event held in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter always delivers.
