As part of a statewide campaign focusing on the meetings and conventions industry, the Virginia Tourism Corporation has announced a Declaration of Meeting Excellence emphasizing the ‘rights’ of planners holding events in the state.
Among the entitlements declared by the new declaration are ‘fair and honorable pricing competitive with all’ and ‘exceptional service and hospitality.’ Other assurances are ‘a free exchange of information’ and the chance to offer a meeting that’s ‘socially and ecologically responsible.’
