LA JOLLA, CA
Pacifica Companies finalized the purchase of the La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla and begins a $10 million renovation of the property later this year. The makeover will include guest rooms, food and beverage outlets, meeting areas and spa.
The upgrades come on the heels of structural and exterior repairs that were made in 2010. The San Diego-based Pacifica Companies acquired the hotel through its hotel ownership division, Prospect Hospitality LP and has managed the hotel since September 2010. The hotel has 112 guest rooms, suites and villas and was originally constructed in 1926.
