  • Skyline Eco Adventures recently debuted the Skyline Eco Adventures Akaka Falls Zipline course. Located below Akaka Falls on Hawaii’s Big Island, Skyline Akaka Falls is the only zip-line tour in the world where guests can zip on a line that stretches over a half mile and soars over a private 250-foot waterfall. The six-line, two-and-a-half-hour tour flies guests over ravines with a backdrop of dramatic ocean and mountain views on the Hamakua coast. Skyline promotes itself as a carbon neutral company.   • Caesars Entertainment Corporation plans to open The Linq, a $550 million retail, dining, entertainment and hospitality district located at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. The mid-Strip attraction will span more than 200,000 square feet of space directly facing Caesars Palace.

    The focal point of The Linq will be a giant observation wheel—The Las Vegas High Roller. The wheel will be the tallest in the world, at 550 feet, with 28 cabins, each of which will accommodate up to 40 people and be available for groups. The Linq will bring upgrades to three large mid-Strip Caesars Entertainment resorts and O’Sheas casino. On The Linq’s north side, a guest walk path will lead from the Carnaval Court outdoor plaza at Harrah’s Las Vegas resort through the Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino and to The Linq. A pedestrian connection also will be built from The Linq into Flamingo Las Vegas on the south. The Linq is scheduled to open in 2013.
