American Express Meetings & Events yesterday at IMEX launched a new program for occasional meeting planners. The new offering, Meetings Expert, is meant to help such meeting buyers control costs and stay within corporate meeting policies, according to the company.
“As companies direct more of their attention toward meeting and expense consolidation, Meetings Expert offers solutions for those who plan meetings on an ad hoc basis,” said Issa Jouaneh, vice president and general manager. “Even for companies only requiring meetings sourcing support intermittently, implementing structure around the process is important.
The minimum meeting size to use this service is 10 rooms per night. Clients using the service, on average, save 28 percent per meeting, said AMEX officials.
