KANSAS CITY, Miss.
A multi-million dollar, property-wide restoration of the historic Hotel Phillips here has been completed. Officials from Marcus Hotels & Resorts, the hotel’s owner, wanted to restore the Phillips’ original grandeur.
“The renovation focused on maintaining the hotel’s elegant Art Deco design elements while adding the high-quality amenities that today’s travelers expect,” says Chris Anderson, senior vice president of sales, marketing and brand development at Marcus. “The newly renovated Hotel Phillips reflects the vibrant feel of Kansas City in the 1930’s, coupled with the modern-day excitement of 21st century city life.”
The 217-room downtown property features 5,600 square feet of meeting space. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
