  • The city of Lawrenceburg and the Hollywood Casino broke ground on the new Lawrenceburg Convention Center in October.   • Located 10 miles south of downtown St. Louis, the River City Casino is expanding to include a 200-room hotel, a new 10,000-square-foot, multipurpose event center and a covered parking structure. The 90,000-square-foot casino in Lemay opened in March 2010, and the $82 million expansion is expected to be completed by the second half of 2013.
