- Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa in Mission Bay announced plans for a $1.1 million renovation of its prefunction space, public foyers, three main ballrooms and breakout rooms. - The M Resort in Las Vegas broke ground on the new M Pavilion, which will provide additional exhibit and function space, bringing the resort’s meeting space to 85,000 square feet. The pavilion, which will feature high ceilings, will accommodate 2,300 people and be accessible from the resort’s Milan Ballroom. The project is scheduled for completion in December. - Portland’s new Oregon Convention Center Plaza will open in December. The 30,000-square-foot landscaped plaza is located directly across the street from the Oregon Convention Center’s main lobby and is fully-equipped for outdoor events with electricity and water hookups. Eleven-thousand square feet of space is available for booths and tents. The project cost approximately $600,000; the plaza will be open to the public when not reserved for private events.
