NASHVILLE
The Union Station Hotel in downtown Nashville has been selected as part of the Marriott’s Autograph Collection. Once a 19th-century railroad station, the hotel offers 125 guest rooms and 12 suites.
In order to become eligible for membership in the Collection, Union Station hotel underwent renovations exceeding $2 million in recent years. Kip Vreeland, the collection’s vice president, said the Union Station Hotel’s “distinctiveness” and unmistakable historic character made it an important addition.
Union Station is the 27th hotel in Autograph, which also includes the Grand Bohemian Hotel in Asheville, N.C., and the Hotel Minneapolis in Minnesota, among others.
Hotels in the Autograph Collection appear in travelers’ search queries on the company’s website and receive promotions in Marriott email letters. The company expects to double its independent hotels in the collection by the end of next year.
