NEW YORK, NY
The Surrey Hotel & Spa, located on Manhattan's exclusive Upper East Side, has joined Relais & Chateaux, the prestigious collection of 518 luxury hotels and restaurants in 60 countries worldwide. The Surrey is the only hotel in New York City to be a member of Relais & Chateaux.
“This exclusive designation is a testament to our staff, and comes as a 'crescendo' of the hotel's 2009 re-opening, following a $60 million renovation and redesign,” said Shan Kanagashingham, general manager.
Evoking the feel of a 1920's residential townhouse, the Surrey features 189 guest rooms and suites and meeting space for up to 74 attendees. It’s also home to Café Boulud, an upscale restaurant from celebrity chef Daniel Boulud.
