The Phoenix Convention Center announced that Debbie Cotton, will serve as interim director. She will oversee the convention center’s daily operations, as well as their staff of 273 employees and budget of $47.5 million.
Cotton has over eight years of executive management experience from her previous role as Phoenix Public Transit Director where she helped launch the city’s first light rail line in 2008 and worked in local government for 19 years.
